1 pkg lemon pudding & pie filling (2.9 oz) - NOT INSTANT
1 c. Water
1 8oz can of crushed pineapple
3/4 c. Sugar
3 TBsp butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Cook over medium low heat until thickened. Add butter or margarine, and cool completely before putting between cake layers.

NOTE: if doubling, only use 4 TBsp of margarine.

Oma had also added chopped maraschino cherries and or chopped pecans as well.
