½ c shortening
¾ c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ pt sour cream
6 tbsp butter, softened
1 c brown sugar, packed
2 tsp cinnamon
1 c chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Add eggs, singly, beating well after each. Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda together. Add to creamed mixture, alternately with sour cream, blending after each addition. Spread half of batter in 10” tube pan which has been greased and lined on the bottom with waxed paper. Cream butter, brown sugar and cinnamon together. Add nuts; mix well. Dot batter in pan evenly with half of nut mixture. Cover with remaining batter. Dot with remaining nut mixture. Bake at 350° for about 40 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes and then remove from pan.
