½ c. butter Crisco
½ c. sugar
1 T. milk
1 square unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled
1 c. flour
¼ tsp. salt
⅓ c. mini chocolate chips
½ tsp. vanilla
1 egg yolk

Filling:
2 T. butter Crisco
⅓ c. creamy peanut butter
1 c. powdered sugar
2 T. milk
½ tsp. vanilla

Cookies:
Combine Crisco, sugar, milk, vanilla, and egg yolk. Add melted chocolate and mix well. Sift flour and salt. Add to chocolate mixture. Add chocolate chips. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2" apart on greased baking sheet. Press thumb in the center. Bake at 350º for 8 minutes. Press centers again with a small measuring spoon.

Filling:
Combine Crisco and peanut butter; add powdered sugar; stir well. Add milk and vanilla. Stir until smooth. Fill center of cookies.
