Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 good quality ground beef (chuck, sirloin or round)
1 cup tomato juice (or sauce)
3/4 cup quick oats
1 egg beaten
1/4 cup chopped onoin
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon mustard
2 Tablespoons brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Set the beef out a while until it is not so cold.
Stir the beef, tomato juice, egg, onion, salt and pepper together.
Then add in oatmeal and stir or work with hands until
well mixed.
Place in a greased pan. A loaf will work but a round
pan where you can heap a little in the middle and then
leave a little room around the edges works even better.
(This gives room for the fat to work out and then you can
drain it so much easier.)
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes (do not cover) and drain off excess grease.

Meanwhile prepare topping
Mix ketchup, mustard and brown sugar together in a small bowl.

Pour topping over drained meat loaf and continue cooking for 15 minutes.

Let set 10 minutes and then cut and serve.
