2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
4 Tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup cold water
1 stick butter
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon soda
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix in large bowl flour, sugar, cocoa and salt.
Bring water, butter and oil to a boil and add to flour mixture.
Mix buttermilk and soda together and add to batter.
Stir in eggs and vanilla till all mixed well.
Pour into a greased and floured 10.5 X 15 X 1 inch high pan.
Bake at 375 degrees 18-25 minutes (till cake springs back)

*As Susie says bakers joy cooking spray is a wonderful thing!
Brenda says parchment paper makes it easy to cut, serve, and clean up!


Topping

Cool cake slightly before adding topping.

1/4 c coca
1 stick butter
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 lb powdered sugar (1 box / 4 cups)
Beat and add 1 cup nuts if preferred. (slightly toasted nuts always hold crispyness
and taste the best)
