9 c. saskatoons
2 c. water
1/4 c. lemon juice
5 Tbsp tapioca (fresh, not one yr old)
1 1/2 c. sugar

Directions:
Wash wide mouth jars in hot soapy water, rinse hot and put in oven at 325º F until needed. Place snap lids in a small pan with water and keep hot.

Stir water, lemon juice, tapioca and sugar together in a heavy pan. Let stand 5 min. Add berries. Heat on 3/4 heat until boiling gently, stirring steady once it gets hot. Cook 3 min, then fill into hot sterilized jars. Seal jars immediately as you fill them.

Makes 2 full liters, for 2 10-inch pies
