Filling:
1 ¼ c. water
1 c. sugar
2 T. lemon juice
5 c. berries
2.T cornstarch mixed with 3 T. water

Crumble Topping:
3/4 c. flour
1/8 tsp salt
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Bring water, sugar and lemon juice to a boil. Add berries and cook 5 min. Stir in cornstarch/water mixture and cook til thick. Cool before adding to unbaked pie shell, OR bake pie shell 10 min before adding hot filing.

Make pastry for a double crust pie, using 2 c. flour, or make a single crust pie with a crumble topping (suggested if the filling is still hot)...
Bake pie at 425º F for 15 min, then reduce heat to 350ºF and bake another 35 minutes or so, until the juices bubble up through the slits in the crust.
Cool on a wire rack.
