2 ½ cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 tsp. Baking powder
1 cup sliced almonds
½ cup oil
3 Tbsp. Almond extract

1 beaten egg

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugars in large bowl. Add oil, eggs and almond extract. Mix then add flour and baking powder. Mix until combined, then stir in almonds. Divide dough into 4 equal balls. Roll into logs about 12 in. long. Place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Dough will spread, so place only 2-3 logs on each sheet. Brush with beaten egg.

Bake at 350º for 25 minutes. Batter will spread, so about halfway through, check loaves. With spatula, push dough together so loaves are about 3 inches wide. This may need to be done several times. Cool. Slice on diagonal.
