BOTTOM LAYER:
1 c. flour
½ c. icing sugar
½ c. butter

TOP LAYER:
½ c. butter
¼ c. dark corn syrup
½ c. brown sugar
1 tsp. unflavoured gelatin
⅔ c. sweetened condensed milk

Crumble together the ingredients
Press into an ungreased 8" x 8" pan
Bake at 350º for 20 to 25 minutes- watch it does not over cook and is still white colour

TOP:
Melt butter and corn syrup in a saucepan.
In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar and gelatin.
Add to the sauce pan, stirring to dissolve.
Add condensed milk.
Stir and bring to a boil. Boil for 4 minutes stirring continuously.
Remove from heat and beat with a spoon until it thickens to a blob like state.(this takes a while)
Pour over the bottom layer.
Chill overnight
To cut into squares, invert onto waxed paper and cut upside down- its easier to cut through bottom layer....
