1/3 cup margarine
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 3/4 cup chicken or turkey broth
2/3 cup milk
2 cups cut up chicken or turkey
1 10 oz pkg frozen mixed vegetable (peas, carrots, potatoes)
1 pkg pie crusts (2 crusts from dairy section)

Preheat oven to 425 º



Heat margarine over low head until melted. Blend in flour, onion, salt, and pepper.
Cook over low heat stirring constantly until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Sir in broth and milk.
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute. Stir in chicken and frozen vegetables. Set aside until pastry is ready.


Put one pie crust in deep pie plate. Pour filling in on top of crust. Cover with 2nd crust.

Cut 4 or 5 slits in top crust.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Make sure bottom crust is well cooked also.
