1 red onion chopped
2 ripe tomatoes chopped
2 or 3 fresh green chili pods seeded and chopped
OR
jalapeno seeded and chopped
1 or 2 cloves of garlic minced
3 to 3 tsp. fresh cilantro
dash of lemon or lime juice

Mix all ingred. together.
Add salt if desired.
Mix this mixture well.

This popular southwestern sauce is put on everything from eggs to tortilla chips.
Use your own descretion as to the number of chilis to use. Use food processor if desired but do onion first.
