2 cups heated lukewarm water
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp of salt
2 packages of yeast
1 egg
1 cup shortening
7 cups of sifted flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix 2 cups of the flour with sugar, and salt, and yeast. MIx the shortening in warm water (110-115) and add to the dry ingredients. Then slowly add the rest of the flour, stirring after each addition. It should not be too sticky. Put in a large greased bowl and turn over. Cover with towel. Keep in a warm but not hot place. Let it rise for about 1 hour. Form into rolls and place on a large prepared baking pan or in muffin tins that have been sprayed with baking spray. Spread melted butter on top. Let rise again for about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. Bake in a 425 oven for about 15 minutes.
