1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tbs Dijon mustard

1 bottle beer

About 1/2 cup flour

Directions:
Brown the chops in the soy sauce and mustard over med-high heat.

Add the beer, cover, and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes.

Remove the chops to another plate.

Put the flour in a container with a tight lid, add water to cover it, and then shake vigorously until the flour and water is well mixed.

Slowly whisk in the flour mixture with the sauce in the pan, stirring constantly, until a nice gravy is formed.

Serve with mashed potatoes.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
One the best recipes I've ever had, from my friend for the last 50 years, Julie Attwood Overgaauw. The key is to use the cheapest pork chops you can find and cheap beer, such as Bud. I've tried it with more expensive meats and different beers, and it just doesn't come out as well. Go figure.

Make sure you add the flour mixture to the sauce very slowly or you will have lumpy gravy!
