Diana Fisk


1 cup raisins
1 cup water
1 egg
1 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 Tbsp grated orange peel.
2 c flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
tsp baking soda.

1. Add raisins to water and bring to boil. Cool to room temp.
2. Mix: 1 slightly beaten egg, brown sugar, oil and grated orange peel.
3. Stir this mixture into the raisin mixture
4. Sift: flour, salt, baking powder baking soda.
5. Add these dry ingredients into other mixture.
6. Beat well by hand.
7. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 325F for 1 hour.
