1 cup raisins
1 cup water
¾ cup soft butter or margarine
1½ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 ½ cup flour
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cloves
2 cup rolled oats.

1. Simmer water and raisins until raisins are plump. About 20 min. Save ½ c of raisin liquid
2. Cream butter or mar with sugar.
3. Add 2 eggs, beating well after each.
4. Then add 1 tsp vanilla. Beat til well blended. Stir in the saved raisin liquid.
5. Sift together: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves
5. Add flour mixture gradually to other mixture and stir with mixer till well blended
6. Add raisins and 2 c rolled oats.
7. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls
