Fried Chicken in Cream Recipe

3lbs chicken parts
1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tbsp hard margarine
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 cup sliced onion
1 cup thinly sliced carrots
2 cups water
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms(optional)
1 1/2 cups whipping cream

Coat chicken with flour, brown well in margarine in frying pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Arrange in small roaster.

Put onion, carrots, water and salt into frying pan. Cover. Simmer slowly until tender crisp Add to chicken.

Add mushrooms. Pour cream over top. Cover. Bake in 350 oven for about 1 1/2 hours until tender
