Potatoes
Equal parts of sugar and salt
Dash of pepper
Celery, chopped
Onions, chopped
Bacon
½ c. white vinegar
¾ c. water
Flour, enough to thicken liquid
Equal parts Hellmann's and Miracle Whip mayonnaise

Directions:
Directions:
Boil potatoes, then slice nice and thin. Layer potatoes with salt, pepper and sugar. Sugar and salt should be applied in equal amounts. Pepper to your taste. Add chopped celery and onions; they should be finely cut.
Fry and cube bacon. Drain most of the grease. Add white vinegar and water to bacon grease. Then add enough flour to make it thickened. Let cool. Pour over potatoes and let sit overnight.
When ready to serve mix with equal parts of Hellmann's mayonnaise and Miracle Whip mayonnaise. Toss and coat potato salad with dressing.
