3 C. Flour
4 t. Baking powder
1 t. salt
2 Egg yolks
1/2 C. Sugar
3 T. Salad oil
2 T. Lemon juice
1/2 Cup milk
2 Egg yolks--stiffly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together first 3 ingredients.

Beat egg yolks until thick. Add sugar and beat until light.

Add salad oil and lemon juice alternating
and beating constantly.

Add 2 C. of sifted dry ingredients with milk.

Fold in egg whites then fold remaining dry ingredients.

Turn out on floured board, roll and cook.

This was a very old recipe typed on an index card. The recipe doesn't give specifics on rolling and cooking method, temperature, or time. Now there are doughnut pans for baking readily available in stores like Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
