1 1/2-# GROUND HAMBURGER MEAT
1-ONION CHOPPED
KETCHUP
SALT TO TASTE
PEPPER TO TASTE
2-SLICES WHITE BREAD TOASTED
1 EGG SLIGHTLY BEATEN

PLACE THE GROUND BEEF IN A LARGE MIXING BOWL. ADD IN THE ONION, A COUPLE OF SQUIRTS OF KETCHUP, SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE CRUMBLED UP
TOAST AND EGG,
MIX WELL NOT CRUSHING THE TOAST.
FORM A LARGE BALL AND PLACE IT IN A GREASED MEATLOAF PAN SQUIRT ON SOME MORE KETCHUP ON TOP OF THE MEATLOAF.
BAKE AT 350'F UNTIL A GOOD CRUST FORMS AROUND THE EDGES OF THE MEATLOAF. ABOUT 1-HR.



I NOW ADD DICED BELL PEPPER, DICED JALAPENO PEPPER. AND SOME TIMES SOME CUMIN AND CAYENNE PEPPER FOR A SOUTHWEST FLAIR.

I ALSO MIX SOME GOOD LOCAL HONEY WITH THE KETCHUP TO TOP THE MEATLOAF.


***BUT YOU CANT BEAT THE BASIC OLE RECIPE THAT MY GRANDDAD CLAY MADE AS I WAS GROWING UP.

This was my favorite dish my Grand dad Clay made as I was growing up I added another crumbled up piece of toast and more ketchup once I got it on my plate. Oh ya it always came with macaroni and cheese.
