2-Cup warm water
2-Packs Dry yeast
1/2-C sugar
1 ˝-Ts, salt
1/4- Cup shortening
1 –egg
7-cups flour (sifted)


Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in worm water stir
Add the sugar and salt stir
Add 3 cups flour stir
Add the egg beet well and add the shortening and mix
Add 4 cups flour and stir
Cover with a damp cloth put it in the refrigerator
Take out and let it rise foe 1 1/2- hours in the pan
Pinch off rolls and place on a oiled baking sheet and bake at 350’ till golden brown

The Clay family Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners were always better when Mama made these rolls, butter them and they will melt in your mouth, I like putting on ham or turkey slices with a slice of jelled cranberry sauce to make a roll sandwich.
