Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Fresh peeled and sliced pears (crock pot full)
4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups sugar or Stevia/Splenda

Directions:
Directions:
Put the sliced/chopped pears in a crock pot. Put the remaining ingredients on top of the pears and put the lid on. Turn the crock pot on high until it gets hot. Once it gets hot, turn it down to low and cook all night or all day until the pears are fully cooked.

Once the pears are cooked, drain the juice off and beat with a mixer. Put the hot pears in sterilized jars; put the lids on and place in a hot boiling water bath for about 15 minutes to seal the jars. Take out of the water and turn upside down on a towel for 12 hours.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
The pear butter is great on hot biscuits and is very low in calories if you use the sugar substitute in the recipe instead of the regular sugar.

You also don't have to put this recipe in jars. You may place it in your refrigerator and use as needed. It will last in the refrigerator for months.
