Ham balls:
1 lb. ground ham (2 cups)
lb. pork sausage
1 c. soft bread crumbs
2 eggs
⅛ c. milk
c. sauternes (substitute: cooking sherry)
2 tbsp. chopped onion

1 can (1 lb. 4 oz.) pineapple slices or chunks
c. maraschino cherry syrup (optional)
c. brown sugar, packed
3 tbsp. garlic wine vinegar (substitute: cider vinegar)
1 tbsp. prepared dry mustard
4 or more maraschino cherries, halved

Mix thoroughly all ham ball ingredients and place on lightly greased pan 1/2 inch apart.

Mix all sauce ingredients together and then spoon half of sauce over ham balls before baking in over for 20 minutes in the oven at 350.

Remove from oven and spoon the remaining sauce over the ham balls, plus pineapple and cherries. Bake in the over for another 15 minutes in the 350 oven.
Makes 16 ham balls.
