1/3 cup sesame tahini
4 tbsp lemon juice
1/3 cup olive oil
4 cloves garlic
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp cumin
1 16-oz can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
salt to taste
pepper to taste

Put all ingredients in a food processor.

Blend until smooth, add more lemon juice if too thick.

In my opinion, the taste of fresh hummus is so much better than store bought. You can usually find sesame tahini in the condiments aisle near the specialty olives.
