6 eggs
¾ cup whole milk
¾ cup light cream
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. fresh ground pepper
¼ tsp fresh ground nutmeg
½ cup chopped frozen spinach, drained of all water
½ cup chopped artichoke hearts
½ cup grated Gruyere cheese
½ cup cooked minced onion
crust:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp smoked paprika
6 T. Frozen butter
1 egg yolk only
ice water

Filling:
sauté’ onions in butter or olive oil until soft and slightly brown, set aside to cool. in a large bowl whisk together eggs, milk, cream & spices. scatter remaining ingredients( except cheese) in prepared tart crust, poor over egg mixture( do not overfill), top with cheese and bake in 400 degree oven on a large sheet pan( in case of leaks) until puffy and golden brown

Crust:
put all dry ingredients & butter in Cuisinart or like blender and quickly mix until mixture is dusty with no large lumps. add egg yolk and blend quickly, with blender on add ice water 1 T. at a time until dough just forms a ball. Pat dough into flat disk, wrap in plastic wrap and chill while preparing filling.
roll out chilled dough into a circle slightly larger than tart pan, form edges, chill in freezer for 1 hour. Line chilled tart crust with tine foil gently and par bake in 400 degree oven for about 8-10 minutes, remove foil and bake for 3-4 more minutes to set crust. Fill using above instructions for filling
