1 c. flour
tsp. salt
tsp. soda
tsp. baking powder
c. sugar

c. shortening

1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the first 5 ingredients.
Cut in the shortening until it resembles corn meal
Blend in the egg, milk and vanilla.
Roll flat and to your desired thickness
Cut with cookie cutters and transfer to a baking sheet
Bake at 400 for 6-8 minutes.

Keep and eye on them. I like when they are very soft and chewy so bake for less time.
