½ c. corn starch
½ c. icing sugar
1 c. all purpose flour
¾ c. soft butter (DO NOT SUBSTITUTE)
candied cherries for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Sift corn starch, icing sugar and flour.
With wooden spoon blend in the butter until soft smooth dough forms.- make sure you keep it cool-
Shape into 1" balls.
Place 1 1/2" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten lightly with a floured fork.
Decorate with candied cherries (that was Dads favourite).
Bake at 300º for 15-20 minutes.- don't let them brown.
