1 2⁄3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
8 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
1 1⁄4 cups sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1⁄3 cup corn oil
lemon zest from a lemon (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Whisk together flour and baking soda in a bowl and set aside.
-In a large bowl beat butter and sugars until fluffy for a couple of minutes.
-Add oil, vanilla and lemon zest into the bowl
-Mix until smooth.
-Add dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Stir until combined.
-Using your hands, shape dough into balls.
-Place dough balls 1" apart on a prepared baking sheet.
-Bake for 25–30 minutes.
-Transfer to a wire rack and let cool before serving.
