2 c. unsifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
c. granulated sugar
c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 package (4 serving size) Vanilla flavor instant pudding and pie filling
2 eggs
1 package (12 oz.) chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour with baking soda. Combine butter, the sugars, vanilla and pudding mix in large mixer bowl; beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture; then stir in chips and nuts. (Batter will be stiff.)
Drop by rounded measuring teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 7 dozen.
