cup butter or margarine
cup shortening
1 cup powdered sugar
2 cup plain flour, sifted
2 teas vanilla flavoring
1 cup pecans, chopped fine

1) Preheat oven to 325 degrees
2) Cream butter and shortening until fluffy
3) Beat in powdered sugar
4) Gradually stir in flour
5) Add vanilla and pecans
6) Roll dough into very small finger-shaped bars and place on an ungreased baking sheet
7) Bake 15-20 minutes until bottom edges begin to slightly brown
8) Roll in powdered sugar and cool
