Ingredients:  
• 3-4 pounds beef pot roast
• 3 Tbsp shortening
• ¼ cup soy sauce
• ¾ cup water
• ¼ tsp pepper
• 1 medium bell pepper, sliced
• ¼ tsp ginger
• 1 medium onion, sliced
• 1 can (9 oz) pineapple chunks
• 1 can (4 oz) mushrooms
• ½ cup sliced celery
• 2 Tbsp flour

Directions:
Directions:
1) Brown roast in shortening
2) Pour off drippings and add soy sauce, ½ cup water, pepper, ginger, onions and cover tightly
3) Cook 3 hours
4) Drain pineapple, combine with mushrooms, celery, bell pepper and add to roast
5) Cook 20 minutes longer or until celery and bell pepper are tender
6) Remove roast and mix remaining water and flour
7) Cook, stirring until gravy is thickened
