1 c. butter (must be butter)
4 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. pecan meats ground coarsely
2 c. cake flour
1½ c. confectioners sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat shortening until soft and add sugar. Blend well. Add vanilla and nut meats. Sift flour before measuring, then add it and mix well. Roll in small balls 1 to 1½ inches in diameter. Place on greased cookie pan. Bake in 300º oven for 30-45 minutes. While still hot, roll in confectioners sugar and roll again when cold.
Makes 5½ dozen cookies.
