2 cups Flour

1/3 cups shortening

1/2 cups sugar

2 Eggs

3/4 cups liquid milk

4 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º.

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add nuts, set aside.

Mix shortening and sugar until smooth, add eggs and beat well.

Stir in half the flour mixture and half the milk, into egg mixture, then stir in other half of the flour and milk, mix well.

Pour in greased loaf pan for 35-40 minutes or until golden.

You can use rasins or dates in place of nuts.
