CAKE:
2 c flour
2 c sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 c (2 sticks) butter
1 c water
4 Tbsp cocoa
2 eggs
1/2 c buttermilk
1 T vanilla extract

ICING:
4 c, (1 box) sifted powdered sugar
1/2 c (1 stick) butter
4 T cocoa
6 T evap. milk
1 T vanilla extract

CAKE:
In large saucepa, melt butter with 1 cup water and cocoa; bring to a boil. Mix dry ingredients in bowl and pour boiling mixture over all. Mix until blended. Add buttermilk, vanilla and eggs. Pour into lightly greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake 45-55 min at 350 until sharp knife comes out clean when tested.

ICING:
Melt butter & cocoa on low heat until blened. Add evap milk. Bring to low boil and pour over powdered sugar. Add vanilla and beat with mixer. If too thick, add a few drops of evap milk. Spread over hot cake.

Variation: add 2 tsp chili powder to cake. Yummy
