Chuck roast
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
Soup can of water
carrots, cut into chunks
yellow onions, peeled and cut into 1/8ths

Directions:
Directions:
Place carrots in bottom of crock pot. Place onions on top of carrots.
Salt & pepper all sides of the roast. Coat in flour. Sear on all sides in hot grease (bacon drippings or olive or vegetable oil), creating a nice brown crust. Place on top of vegetables in the crock pot. In separate bowl, combine soups and water, mixing well. Pour over roast. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours. Serve with mashed potatoes. Makes its own gravy.
