Ingredients: Medium size roast of your choice 1 cup of flour 2 teaspoons of Onion powder Salt and Pepper 2 tbsp of Beef Better than Bouillon paste Potatoes, Carrots and Parsnips cut into 1-inch pieces

Directions: |
Directions:Preheat oven 325º F Combine the flour, onion powder, salt and pepper together in a square dish. Coat roast in the flour mixture.
In a large roasting pan add 2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil and heat over a medium to high heat setting. Sear the roast that has been coated in the flour until there is a good crust on it. Add water until it reaches halfway up the height of the meat. Add 2 Tablespoons of the beef bouillon paste to the skillet.
Cover and bake in the oven for 2-3 hours. Add the vegetables and bake for another 1½ hour so that all the vegetables are well cooked.
If you need to you can add a little more water, if needed.
Sometimes I also like to add Onion soup (if I have it) for a little extra flavor instead of the Onion powder.
Let sit for 30 minutes before serving. |
