Pick peas when fat but before they turn yellow.
Shell and wash.

In large pot, bring water to boil (no salt) and put peas in water. Return to boil and blanch for 1 minute. Chill peas in ice water - should be at least 2 minutes.

Package peas - no seasoning.

Freeze peas in Ziplock freezer bags or in a vacuum sealer.
