2 cups white sugar
1/4 cup white corn syrup
1 cup milk
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Place all ingredients except vanilla in heavy saucepan.
Place over low fire and stir gently until dissolved.
Cover and bring to a boil.
Remove cover and continue to boil until reaches 234 degrees or soft ball stage.
Stir only occasionally to be sure candy is not sticking.
Remove from heat as soon as correct temperature is reached and allow to cool until lukewarm.
Add vanilla and beat until creamy.
Pour into greased pan and cut into squares or form into roll. This may be rolled in nut meats.
