¾ C butter
2 C sugar
1 (16 oz) can pumpkin
4 eggs
2 C flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp nutmeg
1 C chopped pecans

Cream Cheese Frosting
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese
⅓ C softened butter
1 tsp vanilla
3 C sifted powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
• Preheat oven to 350°.
• Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
• Blend in pumpkin and eggs.
• Combine dry ingredients and mix well.
• Stir in pecans.
• Spread mixture into a greased and floured jelly roll pan.
• Bake for 30-35 minutes.
• Cool completely, and then slice.
• For real pretty bars, freeze after cooling before cutting. After frozen, remove and cut with sharp knife.

To prepare cream cheese frosting:
• Combine cream cheese, butter, and vanilla.
• Mix well until blended.
• Gradually add sugar.
• Frost bars when cool.
