⅓ C butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
¾ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup baking cocoa
¼ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
9 Hershey’s chocolate kisses

Directions:
Directions:
• Preheat oven to 350º.
• Cream together the butter and sugar.
• Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well.
• Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt; add to the cream mixture and mix well.
• Fill paper lined muffin cups ⅔ C full.
• Place a Hershey’s kiss upside down in the center of the cupcake.
• Bake 20 to 25 minutes until the top springs back when lightly touched.

Yields: 9 cupcakes
