4-6 Gala apples (Gala apples are best to use for baking instead of Golden or
Red Delicious apples.)
8 graham crackers, crushed
C brown sugar
C oatmeal
C flour
tsp cinnamon
tsp allspice
C butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
If baking in conventional oven, preheat oven to 350.
Peel, core and slice apples
Place in a glass dish, if microwaving, or in a glass or metal dish if baking in a conventional oven.
Combine all other ingredients together, adding the melted butter last.
Mix well with clean hands so that the mixture is crumbly.
Pour on top of the apples and bake.
If baking in a microwave, bake on high for 6-8 minutes.
If baking in oven, bake for 30-35 minutes.

This recipe is great in the fall when apples are in season and when the weather cools down. It is excellent topped with vanilla ice cream, or cool whip. To make it a very special treat, sprinkle ice cream or cool whip with cinnamon.
