Ingredients:	Ingredients: ⅔ C shortening ¾ C granulated sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 egg 4 tsp milk 2 C sifted all purpose flour 1½ tsp baking powder ½ tsp salt

Directions:	Directions: • Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. • Add egg and milk; beat till light and fluffy. • Sift together dry ingredients; blend into creamed mixture. • Divide dough in half. • Cover and chill at least 1 hour. • On lightly floured surface, roll to ⅛ inch thickness. Leave other half in refrigerator until ready to use. • Cut in desired shapes with cookie cutters. • Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375° about 8 to 10 minutes. • Cool slightly, remove from pan and place on cooling racks until cooled completely. Yields: 3 dozen.
