2 lbs. powdered sugar
1 C Crisco
½ C water
2 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
• Place a small amount of powdered sugar in large mixing bowl with 1 C Crisco.
• Mix slowly. Add a small amount of water and turn on mixer to blend.
• Add vanilla and salt and gradually add the rest of powdered sugar.
• Add water slowly as frosting is mixing.

Yields: Frosting to decorate a 2 layer cake.

(Tip: If you add all of the water at once, it may make the frosting too thin. Add as needed, especially if the frosting is too thick to mix. If you should get it too thin, you may remedy the problem by adding a small amount of powdered sugar until it is the consistency you like.)
