1 Basic Scone Recipe
3 C tart apples sliced into small cubes
1 TBSP lemon juice
1/2 C sugar
1/4 C brown sugar
1/4 C Flour
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 º F

Mix all of the ingredients together (except basic scone recipe) and place in a pie pan and bake for 40 minutes.
Add 1 cup raisins to the dough and knead dough to make sure they are evenly distributed. Separate, roll and cut scones as described in basic scone recipe
Add 1 TBSP of apple mixture to each scone, top with another layer of scone and brush with egg white. Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes depending on your oven.

This scone tastes like an apple pie and is one of my favorites to make when our New England weather begins to turn cooler and the leaves start to turn color.
