1 Cup dried Cranberries
3 Cups flour
½ Cup Sugar
1 T. Baking Powder
½ tsp. Salt
½ tsp. Baking Soda
¾ Cup Cold Butter, cut into pieces
½ Cup chopped Pecans (Optional)
1½ tsp. grated orange rind
1 Cup Buttermilk
1 T. Milk
¼ tsp. Cinnamon
⅛ tsp. Nutmeg

Preheat oven to 400º.
IN a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
Cut butter into flour mixture until it resembles course crumbs. Stir in cranberries, nuts and orange rind. Add buttermilk and mix with a fork until moistened. Gather dough into a ball and place on floured board. Roll or pat into a circle 3/4 inch thick. Cut into 12 pie shaped pieces. Place on a greased or parchment lined baking sheet 1 1/2 inches apart. Brush tops with milk and sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg mixture.
bake for 12-15 minutes, until lightly browned.
