1 t cooking oil
1 # good ground beef
1 garlic clove chopped, fine
3 small onions chopped fine (seems like a lot - I would do one)
2 1/3 cups tomatoes or 1 # 3 oz can
1 T of the chili powder level
salt & pepper
16 oz red kidney (yep!) beans

If you like spaghetti or macaroni, you may add accordingly.
