Cake Batter:

1 cup oil
3 eggs
1 ½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 apples – cut into chunks
½ cup nuts (optional)

Crumb Topping:

½ cup sugar
½ cup butter – softened
½ cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF

Do not grease or flour pan.

Mix oil, eggs, sugar and vanilla until well-blended.

Add flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon. Mix until just blended.

Stir in apples and nuts. The batter will look like it is too thin and not enough.

Pour into 13x9 inch pan.

Mix topping until crumbly. Sprinkle over cake.

Bake for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
