2¼ cups sifted all-purpose flour
3 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
¼ shortening or butter
2 eggs
½ cereal cream or thick sour cream with 1 tsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp white sugar
Handful of raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking poweder and salt. Cut in butter with dough blender or two knives. Beat eggs until light; add cream and sugar. Make well in centre of flour mixture; add egg mixture all at once. Stir lightly, mixing as little as possible; turn on floured board. Knead lightly until dough is smooth. Add raisins and just mix in. Roll to 3/4 inch thickness. Cut crosswise in diamonds; brush lightly with the following glaze, if you like:
2 Tbsp cold milk
1 Tbsp white sugar
Bake in hot oven, 450ºF 12-15 minutes.
