2 cups diced yellow onion
2 tablespoons butter, divided
2 pounds sliced yellow squash
1 pound cubed American cheese
8 ounces canned diced green chiles
10 ounces cream of celery soup
¾ cup breadcrumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Melt half the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook onion until soft. Remove onion and cook squash in remaining butter until soft. Drain excess liquid. Butter a casserole dish. Combine everything except breadcrumbs in the dish. Bake until heated through and cheese is melted. Remove from oven, stir, and sprinkle crumbs on top. Bake 5 more minutes until golden.
