1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1 c. shortening
¾ c. boiling water
1 Tbs. ginger
1 Tbs. cinnamon
1 Tbs. baking soda
flour to roll

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Mix shortening, and sugar. Add molasses. Mix together all dry ingredients. Add boiling water to the molasses mixture and add dry ingredients.

Roll batter in flour and roll flat. Cut using cookie cutters and bake 10-12 minutes.

Cool and enjoy.
