1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening or butter
3 eggs
3 Tbs. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour

Optional flavoring: lemon, almond, etc.

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat over to 375.

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Roll and drop cookies onto a baking pan.

Bake until golden brown.
